Why Hardwood Flooring is Worth the Cost

On the fence about hardwood flooring? Here’s some reasons why it’s worth the extra cash.

We hear you. Renovating your home can be expensive, and you might be tempted to cut some corners or find ways to save money where you can. One of the common ways to save money during a renovation is to opt for carpeting in certain rooms instead of hardwood flooring.

Hardwood Increases Your Resale Value

Home trends come and go, even when it comes to something as basic and essential as flooring. Don’t believe us? Two words: Shag Carpeting.

It’ll Last a Lifetime — Literally!

Another reason why hardwood is more cost effective than other flooring options is because of its longevity. It’s not uncommon for hardwood flooring to even last more than one hundred years — especially with the right maintenance and care.

Hardwood is Easier (and Cheaper) to Clean

Speaking of maintenance, hardwood is easy to care for in comparison to other flooring types such as carpet. As we’re sure you’re aware, a broom, vacuum, and sometimes a mop can get you far. Also, with proper care and precaution, hardwood stains shouldn’t prove too much of an issue.
