There are many precautions that businesses can take to keep both employees and customers safe during the pandemic. Especially with the winter surge that’s currently affecting the population, it is imperative that appropriate measures are taken to stop the spread of the disease.

All of us here at California Renovation want to continue to serve our customers despite these uncertain times. We are still committed to offering our customers quality flooring, custom granite and quartz countertops, and kitchen and bathroom remodels. After all, the pandemic doesn’t stop flooring from needing to be replaced.

We’ve even heard from some people who have noticed things that they would like to change about their home because they’re spending so much time at home. Some notice aesthetic changes they would like to make, and others find that some elements are outdated and not as functional anymore.

Also, some may find this to be the perfect time to begin a renovation. Commercial businesses that are seeing little to no foot traffic and are operating remotely or in another fashion may use this time to renovate, as it means there will be little to no disruption to daily productivity. We actually have an entire blog post on this very topic! You can read it here.

Shopping In Store

Both our Roseville, California and Chico, California locations are open for business, and our hours of operation have not changed.

If you’d like to see our wide selection of carpet, luxury vinyl plank, tile, and hardwood flooring in person, you can come into the store as long as you are properly wearing a mask. We have those products on display along with hardware and fixtures for kitchens and bathrooms at our Chico location. While we have countertop samples at both locations, it is recommended that you stop by our Chico location for the most comprehensive countertop service.

Our store’s capacity is capped at 20% but have no fear! Unlike grocery stores, we do not have lines to come inside, as we are often well below the 20% capacity. Scheduling an in-store appointment is also an option to safely visit the store.

Whichever your preference, we will do our best to accommodate!

Shopping Online

If you’d like to limit your in-person visits, that’s great, too! We encourage all our customers to conduct business with us in a way that ensures their personal safety. We have a talented sales team that will happily work with you and your communicated needs.

Our Carpet One Sample Box Program is another way to kickstart your flooring renovation in a virtual manner. Via our Carpet One microsite, you can browse a vast array of flooring samples to have sent to your home. We have an entire blog post about this program, and you can read it here!

It’s difficult, if not impossible, to make a home renovation entirely remote and contactless, but we have measures put in place that lessen the amount of contact and make the entire process more COVID-safe.

During Installation

Besides having our installers wear masks (upon request) throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve been hosting contactless installations when requested/possible.

What does that mean, exactly?

A contractor installing Luxury Vinyl Plank on a client’s staircase. Our installers wear masks and are isolated from members of the household.

Like any flooring installation session, the installation team is scheduled to arrive at your home at a given time. A member of our team can confirm with you the estimated time of arrival for extra security. This also allows our clients to separate themselves the room in which the installation will take place.

There are also instances in which we put up disposable plastic sheet to separate the installation room from the others. If there is a particularly messy demolition involved or if it is requested, we can put up the plastic sheet, both for the protection of the items in your home, but also to isolate the space from the rest of the residency.

This pandemic has brought about a lot of instability and doubt, but we at California Renovation still strive to deliver our customers quality products and personalized, professional service.

You are always welcome to visit our website or call one of our locations to learn more about our company, our team, and the services we offer. This would be a great way to safely gauge if we are a company that would fit your project. We look forward to working with you!
